This Christmas, our handmade creatures feature as an exclusive limited edition at the world-famous Fortnum & Mason - Piccadilly. Everyone of their 2026 collection has its own gold crown, gold tail and is slightly larger than our own range making them totally unique to them.

Many of our loyal customers have been collecting our little Easter Bunnies over the years, hanging them on magical twig tree along side paste eggs and chocolate treats.
Ethelanna created amazing stories with her little bunnies — the story and love is woven into every Bunny and Meece we create today.

Ethelanna Bunnies and Meeces handmade with love in York — just as Mum taught us.

We are Fiona and Miranda — best friends, business partners. Fiona is the proud daughter of Ethelanna, we have both spent over 25 years handcrafting the most magical Christmas decorations you've ever seen.

Since losing Ethelanna, we've carried on her craft in our York studio, still dipping into her old wooden box of silks, trims, and ribbons gathered over decades. Every piece we make is completely one of a kind — born from the same love and attention to detail she poured into every creation.

When Fortnum & Mason asked to stock our decorations, we knew Mum would have been so proud. We hope you love them as much as we love making them.

The Story Behind Ethelanna Bunnies and Meeces

Ethelanna Bunnies and Meeces began the way the best things do — with love, a little magic, and a passion for making Christmas and Easter truly special.

The name Ethelanna belongs to my mother — the original maker, whose creativity and love of Christmas and Easter inspired everything you see here. I'm Fiona, her daughter and with my business partner and best friend Miranda we carry her legacy forward in every piece we create.

Growing up, Christmas and Easter were always a time of wonder in our house — a time when the decorations on the tree told stories and every one had a memory attached to it. We wanted to keep that tradition alive so Ethelanna Bunnies and Meeces was born.

Each decoration is entirely handmade and completely one of a kind. No two pieces are ever the same. We work slowly and carefully, pouring care into every stitch, every detail, every tiny finishing touch.
